->Griswold - Glenn G. Johnston, 55, of Edmond Road, passed away quietly surrounded by his family and loved ones on Thursday morning, March 4, 2010, at The William W. Backus Hospital.He was born Oct. 2, 1954, in Worcester, Mass., son to William Johnston and the late Jeanette (Roseman) Johnston.Glenn worked for DDLC as a boiler mechanic before his retirement five years ago.Besides his father, he is survived by his five children, Frank Johnston and his wife, Katrina, of Jewett City, Daniel Johnston of Jewett City, Kate Johnston of Jewett City, Lauren Kirkland and her husband, Tim, of Danielson, and William Johnston of Jewett City; his three siblings, William Johnston, Lois Johnston, and Doug Johnston; a granddaughter, Lila Kirkland; and his stepmother, Diane Johnston.Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home, 490 Voluntown Road, Rte 138, Jewett City. Interment will be private.
