Gerald Lee Thomas, 72, of Syracuse, departed this life, Saturday, November 1, 2014 in Patchogue, New York, with his loving wife by his side. Survived by his wife, Jannie M. Thomas of Syracuse; eight children, Shonda Page, Sharon Johnson, Mary Harris, Yevette Emery, Beverly Thomas, Gerald Thomas, Jr., Gerri Lynn Chambers Coleman and Camilla Thomas; two sisters, Rev. Beverly Washington of Harrisburg, PA and Doris Waller of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Michael Waller of Syracuse and Gary Waller of Gainesville, FL; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Calling hours will be Friday, November 7, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 124 Alden St., with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
