GEORGE KENNETH SAMUEL PAYNE It is with great sadness that we announce that George died suddenly on March 20, 2014. He leaves behind his loving and loved daughters, Daniela and her husband, Kipp and Andrea and her partner, Kate; his partner, Diana Jardine (Michelle, Teesha, Lyndsay and Richie); his brother, Doug (Gail) and nephew, Michael; his brother-in-law George Farelli (Anne); his extended family and his many friends. George was predeceased by his wife of 31 years, Adele; his parents, Robert and Madeline; and his grandson, Auguste. George arrived in Toronto from Athlone, Ireland, at age 11 and never lost his "old country" gift for telling a good story or off-colour joke. He enjoyed a successful 31-year career as a corporate real estate lawyer at McMillan LLP, where he forged lifelong friendships and mentored many young lawyers. A true bon vivant, Giorgio will be remembered as a talented home cook, the best party host in town, a wine aficionado, a true music lover, a golfer, a sports fan, an avid traveller, a lover of all things Italian and a man who was always ready for a spirited debate. Friends and family are invited to celebrate George's life between 1:30 and 5:00 p.m. on April 10th at The Boulevard Club, 1491 Lake Shore Blvd. W.
