THOMAS, FREDERICK LESLIE - The death of F. Leslie Thomas, age 86, husband of the late Sara (Browne) Thomas, of Kars, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Monday, October 1, 2007. Les was the son of the late James and Maryanne (Williams) Thomas. He is survived by daughters, Marguerite and Walter VanWart, Kars, Joy Hobbs, Rothesay and Lorna and Danny Robins, Victoria Corner, NB; and son-in-law, Ron and Rachel Knox, Quispamsis; grandchildren, Sara and Ken Robins and Zachary Hobbs; two sisters, Betty Thomas, Kars and Doris and Eldred Beers, Wickham; and several nieces, nephews. He was predeceased by daughter, Jean Knox; granddaughter, Rachel; brothers, Gordon, Norman, Albert, Clifford and Sydney. Resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home, (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, with visiting, Thursday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.. Funeral service will be held from the Hatfield Point Baptist Church, on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in Riverbank Cemetery.
