CARPENTER, Fred 81, of Dunedin, died July 2, 2012. Fred was a Navy Veteran, retired NYC fireman, an avid hunter, fisherman and gardner. In 1993 he moved here with his late wife, Joan from Albertson, NY. Fred was a member of the American Legion, Dunedin, Dunedin Clearwater Elks #1525, Knights of Columbus, JFK council 5635 and an usher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, gambling and family. He is survived by son, Michael of Denver, CO; daughters, Debra Carpenter of Dunedin, Diane (Frank) Cushman of Tarpon Springs; brother, Glen (Marge) Carpenter; sister, Wanda Carpenter; grandchildren, Joseph (Stephanie) Egger, Aaron Egger, Candice (Marc) Duquella and Christopher Cushman, and by 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 5, 2012, 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11 am.
