Frances Chapman, 71, of 303 Miller Road, Apt. 903, died April 9, 2004.Born in Anderson County, she was the wife of the late Lawrence Chapman and the daughter of the late Benjamin Tilman Williams and Lizzie Pearl Jennings. She was a member of the Laurens Road Church of God.Mrs. Chapman is survived by two daughters, Judy Hubbard and her husband, Darrell, of Greenville and Tammy Dowdy and her husband, Lee, of Greenville; a son, James E. Chapman, and his wife, Janet, of Anderson; three granddaughters, Victoria Leigh Chapman of Greenville, Kimberly Chapman of Spartanburg and Catherine Denise Dowdy of Greenville; two grandsons, Jamie Hindman and his wife, Niki, of Anderson and Porter Lee Dowdy of Greenville; a great-granddaughter, Lauren Payton Hindman of Anderson; a brother, B.T. Williams of Williamston; and two sisters, Helen Ross of Piedmont and Bobbie Wiles of Moyock, N.C.A visitation will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, with burial to follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
