CHICOPEE - Evelyn Elizabeth (Basile) Nadeau, 72, of Chicopee, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center, Springfield. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Sadie (Hendricks) Basile. Evelyn had lived in Chicopee for most of her life as well as in Indian Orchard for several years. She was a retired (45) year presser for Mirkin's Cleaners of Springfield and was a member of the Christian Life Center of Springfield. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Victor J. Nadeau; a son; Gary Quinn of Chicopee; two sisters; Madelyn Romano of Agawam and Rose Basile of Springfield; a niece, Diana Guyette of Chicopee as well as several other nieces and nephews and grand nieces; Lynn Zavala, Reana Zavala and Maeline Zavala all of Springfield. Evelyn was predeceased by a son; Bernard Basile. The funeral will be Friday morning from the Ratell Funeral Home, Indian Orchard at 8:30 a.m. follwed by services in the Christian Life Center, 1590 Sumner Ave., Springfield at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
