WALLAGRASS - Euclide Charles Theriault, 89, died unexpectedly June 21, 2010, in Wallagrass. He was born June 20, 1921, in Wallagrass, son of Ulysses T. and Caroline (Marin) Theriault. Euclide married his beloved wife, Rella Aurella Cyr, Sept 6, 1943. He served with CCCs and in the U.S. Army during World War II, from March 1945 to June 1946. Euclide was a state certified potato grower in the Wallagrass area for many years until his retirement. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Lozier O'Grady Post 9609, member of Martin-Klein American Legion Post 133 and a honorary life member of Third Degree Knights of Columbus, Council 1934, all of Fort Kent. Euclide served on the board of selectmen for the town of Wallagrass for 15 years, 20 years for St. Joseph's Parish Board, served on the town of Wallagrass, variance board, planning board and Soil and Water Conservation Committee. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rella Theriault of Wallagrass; three children, Charles Kenneth Theriault and his wife, Patsy Willard, of Madawaska, Andrea Theriault Fortier and her companion, Jack Larson, of Poquoson, Va., and Patrick Theriault and his wife, Geralyn Huss, of Wells; his brothers and sisters, Guy Theriault of Baker Brook, New Brunswick, Bernice Desjardins of Fort Kent, Lucien Theriault of Fort Kent, Lorraine Wilson of Calais, Danford Theriault of Southington, Conn., and Leonette Pelletier of Eagle Lake; his grandchildren, Charles K. Jr. and wife, Kerry, Jay Paul and wife, Jodie, Christopher Fortier and wife, Britney, Stephanie Fortier, Emily Theriault and Elizabeth C. Theriault; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Andre, Shelby and Liam. He was predeceased by his siblings, Lizzy Ann, Joseph, Bertha, Caroline, Rudolph, Raymond, Claude, Bernette, Bernadine and Lionel. Friends may call 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday, June 26, at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial with full military honors will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. James Albert officiating. Burial will be at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Forest Hill Manor Activities Fund, 25 Bolduc Ave., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
