Esther King (Neufeld)December 5, 1937 - November 14, 2015Esther passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughter, Colleen King (John Turanich) and son, Darren (Brenda) King; grandchildren, Daniel Sleeva (Jeri Adolph), Christa (Chris) Seckinger, Kevin King, Carly King; great-grandchildren, Jordan Erlends, Rebecca Seckinger and Joshua Seckinger; siblings, Edna Wolfe, Anne Abrams, Martha (Eldon) Karpinka, Dora (Wilbert) Abrams, Mary (Josef) Schultenkamper and Edward (Marlene) Neufeld; and many nieces and nephews. Esther was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Cornelius Neufeld; her siblings, Helena, Arthur, Peter, John and Henry. Esther was born and raised in Warman, Saskatchewan. She spent the majority of her life in Saskatoon where she worked and raised her two children. Esther retired in 2002 from the Provincial Court House in Saskatoon. Family was very important to Esther and she really enjoyed the time she spent with her children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Esther was very creative and enjoyed doing many crafts both herself and with her grandchildren. She spent hours in her kitchen baking for all special occasions, especially Christmas. Esther loved gardening and enjoyed many vacations with family and friends. The family would like to thank the Saskatoon Community Clinic, Saskatoon Cancer Centre and Saskatoon Home Care for the wonderful care and support they provided. The Service to Celebrate Esther''s Life will be held at Park Funeral Chapel (311 Third Avenue North) at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015.
