->Watkins, Ellen LouiseEllen (P-Ma) Louise Watkins, 73, passed peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospital on the morning of April 1, 2012 with her family by her side. Ellen is survived by her husband of 49 years, Frank, two sons, Craig and Brian and daughter in-law, Lorraine. Ellen and Lorraine together developed a mother-daughter relationship as strong and comfortable as the home she created. Ellen was born on March 13, 1939 to Walter and Alvina Elbert in the Bronx and was employed by New York Telephone Company, while living in Cresskill, NJ early in life. Ellen eventually settled with Frank in Pomona, New York to raise her family. Ellen was always both the core support and kick-in-the-pants for the three guys in her house. Caring for, enjoying and laughing with her family and friends were most important to Ellen. P-Ma devoted herself to her four grandchildren, Reese, Chase, Blake and Logan and will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered by them always. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 2-4pm and from 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Religious services will be held at 8:30pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
