Elizabeth Metcalfe, 99, formerly of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., died in her sleep in Picayune, Miss., on July 28, 2012. She is survived by her four children and their families, Mimsy Adkins of Picayune, Tellie Stein of Atlanta, Ga., Ed Metcalfe of Benoit, Miss, and Larry Metcalfe of Greenville, Miss.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.She was the loving wife of the late Lawrence Metcalfe. For many years she taught elementary school in Fort Walton Beach and Greenville. She was a faithful member of the DAR and St. Simon's Episcopal Church. Upon retiring, she loved dancing, becoming a world-class championship ballroom dancer, dancing into her early 90's. A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Greenville at a later date, with internment in the Greenville Cemetery beside her husband.The family asks that donations be made in her memory to Gideons International, Picayune Camp, P.O.
