SPARTANBURG, SC-- Elizabeth Bond Owen, 85, of 2780 East Main Street, died Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Eden Terrace. Born February 1, 1922 in Madison, GA, she was a daughter of the late Henry Lee and Rosanna Seabolt Bond and the wife of the late Robert Franklin Owen. She was a charter member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, a former employee with Dan Ayers Florist, and a volunteer with Mary Black Memorial Hospital and The Shepherd's Center.Survivors include two daughters, Dianne Owen Jones of Columbia, SC and Jeannie Owen Wood of James Island, SC; two sisters, Cecile Smith of Greenville, SC and Bobbie Nelson of Hartwell, GA; a brother, James W. Bond of Greenville, SC; grandsons, Fleming Holcombe Jones, Jr. of Moorpark, CA and Jason Daniel Wood of Elgin, SC; granddaughters, Shannon Jones Boswell of Lyons, CO and Ashley Elizabeth Wood of Folly Beach, SC. She was predeceased by sisters, Bertie Ragsdale, Kathleen Friar, Lois Poole and Sarah Sides; a brother, Heyward Bond; and two infant daughters that died at birth.A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dr. Zane M. Moore. The family will receive friends following the service at Eden Terrace. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.Memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 880 W. O.
