PUNTA GORDA, Fla. Elizabeth Betty A. Reno, 71, formerly of Delmar, N.Y. passed away in Punta Gorda, Fla. on Friday, July 23, 2004. She was the daughter of Carl and Sonja Peterson, born November 20, 1932 in Manhattan, New York City, N.Y. She worked as a real estate broker at Pagano Weber for more than 20 years, until she and her husband moved to Punta Gorda in 1995. Betty was a member of Sacred Heart Church and very active with St. Vincent de Paul Society. A recent church sign carried the following quote, Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. This may well be what we can say of Betty Reno. She endured the discomfort and pain from her ailment and many were unaware of it. - By her husband, Edward. Betty will be greatly missed by her husband of 52 years, Edward of Punta Gorda; granddaughter, Lindsey of Chandler, Ariz. Preceded in death by her son, Clifford, who passed away five years ago. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
