WHITING - Elisabeth B. "Liza" Nolan, 92, of Manchester Township, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Van Dyke Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Community Medical Center, Toms River.Born in Gablonz, Czechoslovakia (part of the German Sudetenland), she emigrated to the U.S. in 1959 and became a naturalized citizen in 1966. She lived in Ewing Township most of her life, before retiring to Whiting in 1997. She worked in the jewelry industry in Germany and at the Old Heidelberg Restaurant in Trenton. She was a wonderful homemaker, an excellent cook, enjoyed gardening and loved animals including her beloved cat BooBoo. But most of all, she was a devoted wife and loving mother who will be greatly missed.Daughter of the late Karl and Anna Moller and sister of the late Hilde Moller, she is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Edward R. Nolan, and her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Jerry Pizza of Robbinsville.Friends may visit with the family Monday (Jan. 23) from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 66 Lacey Road, Whiting. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ocean County Animal Facility, (North), 615 Fremont Ave., Jackson, NJ 08527.
