ROCHESTER -- Elaine E. Demers, 86, formerly of 6 Church St., died Nov. 11, 2008, at the Gafney Home in Rochester. She was born Dec. 31, 1921, in Sanford, Maine, to Arthur and Elizabeth (Brennan) Demers. She lived in Rochester all of her life and was a longtime communicant of St. Mary Church. She worked for 25 years as supervisor for New England Telephone. She enjoyed bowling, tennis and reading. She was also proud of being in the last class to attend Rochester High School in 1939. She is survived by many cousins. SERVICES: A memorial service will be celebrated in the spring at St. Mary Church, Lowell Street, Rochester. Date and time of service will be listed in the paper in the spring. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 S.
