Barnes, EdwardEdward Barnes, age 93, of Madison, husband of the late Helen Finnell Barnes, died on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Twin Maples Health Care Center, Durham. Mr. Barnes was born in Bridgeport to the late George and Mary Ellen Barnes. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corp veteran. Mr. Barnes was retired from Avco-Lycoming and Pratt-Whitney. Survivors include his stepchildren, Jack Finnell of Milford and Joan Goda, of Orange; sister, Rita Rimkunas and her husband, Walter, of the Lordship section of Stratford; his companion, Grace Seastrand of Madison; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, George and Robert; and six sisters, Evelyn, Lillian, Beatrice, Marion, Irene and Edna. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:30 am in the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford with Rev. Bruce Roby officiating.
