JOHNSTON, Edith Elmira (Girvan)1908-2010Edith passed on August 16, 2010. She was predeceased by her brothers, sisters and husbands Allan Smith and Clarence Johnston. She is survived by five generations of loving family: her daughter Geraldine (Gerry) and husband Bob Bell, Grandchildren, Owen, David and Cathy, two Great Grandchildren, Eric and Carolyn, one Great-Grandchild, Kira MacDonald, nieces Ellen and June as well as many other treasured nieces, nephews and cousins. She was loved by all of her family and countless friends who will miss her so very much. You are invited to attend a memorial service for Edith to be in the church she loved: North Lonsdale United Church, 3380 Lonsdale Ave on August 24 at 2 pm. Please do not send flowers or cards. If you wish to honor Edith in a tangible way, you may wish to make a contribution to one of her favourite places: North Lonsdale United Church, G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre, Red Cross, Salvation Army, Cancer Society or any other you may wish to support.
