SPARTANBURG, SCEdith Blanche Ballenger Bailey, 83, of 490 Patch Drive, died Friday, February 10, 2006 at her home.A native of Inman, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Callie Stone Ballenger, and the wife of the late Johnny Bailey. Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Inman.Survivors include a son, Dale Vatalaro of Spartanburg; a brother, Horace R. Ballenger of Inman; two grandchildren, Stacey Vatalaro and Jamin Vatalaro, both of Spartanburg; a great-grandchild, Roger Dylan Shoemaker; a nephew, Buddy Vatalaro of Landrum; a niece, Annette V. Clayton of Spartanburg; and other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bailey was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara McKay; by a brother, J. C. Ballenger; and by two sisters, Doris B. Vatalaro and Betty B. Brantley.Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. today, Sunday, February 12, 2006, at Bobo Funeral Chapel.Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, officiated by Chaplain Jerry Clevenger.Memorial contributions may be made to Regional Home Health Services, 120 Heywood Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303; or to Mobile Meals Service for Spartanburg County, 419 E.
