He served 20 years in the military. He was the 1st municipal judge for the city of Battlefield, MO. After his retirement he went to work for the Springfield District Area as a resource officer where he influenced the lives of many young people. Earl loved his family, fishing, polka music, going to the casino and serving his country.He is preceded in death by his father Ernest Whitehead; infant son George Ernest; sister Rita and brothers Bobby & Larry.Earl is survived by his wife Carol; children Randy (Lynn) Whitehead, Tina (Doug) Cummins and Mark (Carol) Whitehead; mother Pauline Whitehead; sisters Mary Shockley, Patsy (Tim) Shields, Juanita (Leroy) Mitchell, Kathy (Kenny) Brown; sister-in-law Paula Presley, Tammy Stinson and Tracy Matysiak who helped so much while he was ill; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel 4500 S.
