EDGEWATER - Earl Patterson, 88, of Mary Street, a retired carpenter for Perini Commercial Construction, Seabrook, N.H., died Thursday at Hospice Care Center, Port Orange. A native of Parnell, Iowa, Mr. Patterson, a Navy veteran of World War II, came here in 1988 from North Hampton, N.H. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the American Legion, both of New Smyrna Beach, and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Port Orange. Survivors include his wife, Doris; a son, Wayne, York Harbor, Maine; three daughters, Carol Provencal and Pamela Fenstermaker, both of Epping, N.H., and Diane Peek, Rye, N.H.; a stepson, Matthew Spulick, Harrison, Maine; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Dudley, Edgewater, is in charge.
