Piedmont - Funeral services for Earl G. Williamson, 80, will be at 2 p.m. today, September 21, 2011, at Thompson Funeral Home with Mr. Kenneth Williamson and the Rev. Ricky Doyal officiating. Burial will follow at Nances Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to services. Mr. Williamson passed away Monday at his home. Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Williamson (Louise), of Fruithurst, Neal Williamson (Glenda) and Mike Williamson (Sherri), all of Piedmont; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Odell Brown (Charles), of Nances Creek; and caregivers, Carmen and Teresa. Pallbearers will be Nathan Johnson, David Williamson, Kenneth Bonner, Randall Roberts, Steven Williamson and Harvey Langford. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Robinson, Leon Amberson, Wayne O'Neal, Ray Davis and Lonzo. Mr. Williamson was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He retired from Lee Brass with 42 years service and was a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Williamson; a daughter, Pamela Annette Williamson; a granddaughter, Connie Sides; and two great-grandsons, Hunter and Isaac Sides.
