Douglas Edward Thomasof Talbott, Tenn.,formerly of Nichols, N.Y.Douglas Edward Thomas, 51, of Talbott, Tenn., died unexpectedly on Friday, April 7, 2006 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank David and Jewell Hubbard (Thomas) Plass; one brother, James Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Vicki; three daughters, Linda, Jessica, Samantha; four sons, Douglas, James, George, Tony; two sisters, Margaret Brook, Naples, Fla., Ruth Ables, Ashville, N.C.; two brothers, Chip Thomas, Sheboygan, Wis., Fred Thomas, Endicott, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Thomas was an employee of Howmet Inc., Tenn.A Funeral Service will be held at Richards Funeral Home, Rte. 17c West, Owego, N.Y. on Friday, April 14, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gary Smith, Pastor of the Tioga Center Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, N.Y., with full Military Honors accorded. Friends are invited to call at Richards Funeral Home on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
