ALLEN, Douglas. Quietly and gently with his family by his side, a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed on Sunday March 25, 2007. Beloved husband of Jean for 56 years, proud father of Bruce and Greg, loving grandfather of Samantha, Emily and Michael, and brother to Jack and to the late Reg and Frank. History will continue to remember "him" fondly as a tough and dedicated soldier who represented Canada with pride on Juno Beach on June 6, 1944. Never let us forget.
