ALLEN, DOROTHY SAVARY Dorothy Savary "Dot" Allen age 78 of Lecanto, FL died on Sunday October 18, 2009 at Brentwood Health Care Center in Lecanto. Born May 24, 1931 in Inverness, FL to Joseph S. and Ada Savary she was a lifelong resident of Citrus County. Dot was retired from the U.S. Postal service in Crystal River and was a member of the Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto, FL. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Gene Allen of Lecanto, FL 2 sons Denny Allen and his wife Sherry of Pine Ridge, FL and Charlie Allen of Lecanto, FL 2 daughters Margie Strickland Davis and husband Jeff of Crystal River, FL and Christie Allen of Crystal River, FL 1 brother Johnson "Buddy" Savary and his wife Mary of Sarasota, FL 9 Grandchildren J.R. Allen, Charlie McPhail, Jason Allen, Kelly Gore, Seth McPhail, Shawn Allen, Allen Strickland, Kaleigh Allen and Carolyn Allen. 3 Great Grandchildren Wade Charles Gore, Ella Nicole Gore and Landon McPhail and several nieces and nephews. A visitation for Dot will be held on Tuesday Evening October 20, 2009 from 6-8:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Crystal River, FL the funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 21, 2009 at the Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church Lecanto, FL at 11:00 AM with Rev Adam Jones officiating.
