KING, Dorothy O., 91, of Sarasota, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Percy T. King, an evangelist for 27 years. They were known as The King's Musical Messengers. Rev. King pastored for 26 years, 14 of those years at Bethel Temple Assembly Of God on Hillsborough Avenue here in Tampa. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. and Marian King of Nokomis; three grandchildren, Robert W. King II of Jacksonville, Todd King of Seattle, Wash., Kimberly Morse of Sarasota; and six great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2004, at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Ave., with Rev. Gordon Matheny, officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden Of Memories Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home during the hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238, in her memory.
