Avis de décès de Dorothy-Mary Reeves

REEVES Dorothy Mary Reeves passed away early Thursday morning, October 9, 2008. She was born February 15, 1931 in Boston, MA. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Marion Wilson Reeves. Marion served in the Navy and Dorothy accompanied him across the country until they settled in Atlantic Beach in the early 60's. She never lost her Boston accent and until her death refused to eat grits. She did however, cook the best southern and northern meals in the world for her South Carolinian husband and their six children. No matter what city any of the kids were born in, all learned to love the Boston Red Sox. Dorothy is greatly loved and fond stories will be passed down in the Reeves family for generations about her strength, humor, and for being a devoted wife, mom, and G-ma. She is survived by her sons, Marion Wilson Reeves, Jr., John Robert Reeves and Bill Reeves; daughters, Janace Poole, Sherri (Ray) Flott and Caroline (Hank) Wells; nine grandchildren and six great-grand children. Memorial services will be held 3 P.M., Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow in H. Warren Smith cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
