SOUTHINGTON - Dorothy M. (Triompo) Lavoie, 71, of Southington, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at the Summit of Plantsville, with her family by her side.She was born Dec. 15, 1942, in Southington, the daughter of the late Vincent and Gertrude (Zajac) Triompo. She was a C.N.A. at the Summit of Plantsville for 25 years.She is survived by her children, Michael and Dawn Lavoie, of Wolcott; Joseph and Lisa Lavoie, of Meriden; and Laura and Tom McKnerney, of Southington; and her grandchildren, Jessica, Dustin, Preston, Shawn, and Elizabeth. She also leaves her sisters, Marie Cormier; and Betty Jane Cole and husband, Robert, all of Southington; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Patricia and Jane Triompo; and brother-in-law, Aurele Cormier. She enjoyed puzzle building and playing cards but most of all, spending time with her family. She would never miss a grandkid's activity or sporting event.The funeral will be held Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 8:45 a.m., from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., to the Immaculate Conception Church, for a Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
