KING, Dorothy Louisa January 9, 1918 - August 5, 2008 Our dear Mom died in the early morning surrounded by the love of her children, Ken (Pat),Carol, Ron (Terry), Bob, John (Angie), Mary Anne (Glen), Jim (Jan) and Joan (Frank); her grandchildren, Jeff (Amal), Jenny, Janice, Lori (Jim), Jim , Doug, Ben (Kerry), Jackson, Rayanna, Kim, Aaron, Melissa and Zak; her great-grandchildren, Kianna, Kobe and baby Jorja. She also leaves her sisters, Georgina and Kathryn. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward, in August 2004 and her sister, Ruth. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Laurier House Strathcona for their care of mom for the past six years. It's been quite a ride and we'll cherish the memories. We will be forever grateful to Jan for her steadfast commitment and friendship to Mom this past year. We appreciate the unconditional support of Fikerte, who spent many hours with us in the hospital. Thank you also to the staff and their expert care in 3F4 at the U of A Hospital. A Celebration of the life of our Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Gammy, Sister and Friend will be held on Wednesday August 13, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Andrews-McLaughlin Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton.
