Dorothy E. Allen of Binghamton Dorothy E. Allen, 88, of Binghamton, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, February 10, 2010, at the Willow Point Nursing Home. Dorothy lived a great deal of time in Bloomfield, NJ with her former husband, William Evankavitch. She was predeceased by her parents, Milton P. and Alice (Legacy) Allen; three sisters, AnnaMae Brookman, Geraldine Berger, and Pauline Palmer; and one brother, Milton C. Allen. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Allen, Endicott; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army. Dorothy was loved by her family and was considered as another grandmother to many of her great-nieces and great-nephews. She enjoyed needlework. Memorial Services will be held at the Tower of Memories Chapel at Vestal Hills Memorial Park Sunday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Elvin S. Murphy will officiate. Those wishing may make contributions to a charity of one's own choice in Dorothy E. Allen's memory. Arrangements are by the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City.
