ObituaryDoris M. Poulin, 82, of Westhampton, MA died Monday surrounded by her family at her home. Born in Greenfield, May 20, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Evlyn and Mabel (Burditt) Hathaway. She grew up in Hampshire County and had lived in this area most of her life. She had worked in a bakery in Worcester, in Northampton in the Head Start Program and for the former Northampton State Hospital as a Dietary Worker. Doris enjoyed crafts, collecting seashells from which she made seashell arrangements, and also enjoyed fishing and hunting. She moved to Westhampton in 2000, having resided in Tice, Florida for several years during the 1980's and 1990's. She is survived by four sons, Kenneth Stevens of Westhampton, Ronald Stevens of Florence, David Stevens of Westfield and Mark Stevens of Southampton; a daughter, Donna Bishop of Springfield, KY; a brother, Donald Hathaway of Port St. Lucie, FL; a sister, Ruth McDonough of Sturbridge, MA; nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Doris was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph Hathaway, Sr. and Frank Hathaway; a sister, Helen Loven and a granddaughter, Tina Bishop.The funeral will be at the Pease and Gay Funeral Home, 425 Prospect St., Northampton on Friday at 10 AM with burial to follow. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 PM to 8 PM.
