DOREEN WALKER 1920 2009 Passed away peacefully on October 19, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario. Doreen was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1920 and resided there for most of her life spending the last eight years in St. Agatha, Ontario. Doreen is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jack, daughter Dawn Douthwaite (Tom) of Mt. Lehmann BC, sons Bud (Shirley) Walker of St. Agatha, ON, Scott (Denyse) Walker of Winnipeg, MB, and Richard (Whitney) Walker of Calgary, AB. Sadly missed by grandchildren Jeffrey, Shaun, Kirsten, Kimberley, Kelly, Kelsey, Kathryn, Michael and Andrew and great grandchildren Patrishia, Stuart, Nathan, Clare, William, and Kaitlin. Doreen was predeceased by her brother Donald Rae during World War II, her parents William and Elsie Rae, daughter-in-law Linda (Surtees) Walker, and granddaughter Bernice (Morris) Walker. Doreen was a proud and loving wife and mother and an avid bowler and community volunteer in her younger years. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family funeral service in St. Agatha. A memorial service and interment will take place in Regina at a later date. The family wishes to make a special thank you to the caring staff at Nithview Community Home in New Hamburg ON.
