ROCK CITY FALLS Donald Robert Nolan, of Route 29, died Monday, November 8, 2004 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 68. Born on April 17, 1936 in Albany, he was a son of the late Maurice and Edna (Hale) Nolan. Donald was a state trooper with the New York State Police, Troop G in Loudonville and was a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed music and played the guitar and also enjoyed wildlife and nature as well as horses, fishing for pleasure and in tournaments and was a Green Bay Packers fan. Donald also liked watching NASCAR and once raced stock cars locally. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a son, Robert Nolan, who died in 1982. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Wilson) Nolan of Rock City Falls, whom he married in 1989; four sons, Thomas Nolan of Las Vegas, Nev., Alan Nolan and his wife Kimberley of Danbury, Conn., James Nolan and his wife Shannon of Ballston Lake and Kurt Nolan of Rock City Falls; two daughters, Diana Pollard and her husband David of Las Vegas and Ginger Nolan of Rock City Falls; a brother, Richard Nolan of Ballston Spa; his grandchildren, Thomas Nolan Jr., Brant, Alana, Ethan, Torin, Rogan, Caroline, James and Peyton Nolan, Tiffany, Robert, Krista, Angel and Hope Pollard and James Trotman; his great-grandson, Trenton Nolan; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 624 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). Burial with military honors will follow in the family plot at Memory's Garden Cemetery in Colonie. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the services.
