Dennis H. McGuireDennis Harold McGuire, 83, of Tuscumbia, passed away Feb. 2, 2014. Visitation was Monday, Feb. 3, from 5-7 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. today in the chapel. Burial will follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Greg Beasley is officiating.Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Wynell McGuire; sons, Mike McGuire (Nancy), of Tuscumbia, Johnny McGuire (Tammy), of Tuscumbia, and Jeff McGuire (Michelle), of Leighton; daughter, Phyllis McGuire, of Tuscumbia; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Olivene McHan, of LeHigh, Fla.Pallbearers will be Ben Wallace, Chris McGuire, Steven Vinson, Steven Young, Robert Barnowsky, and David Austin.Mr. McGuire was a Korean War veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.A special thanks to Gentiva Home Health and Gentiva Hospice for the love and care given to our loved one.Memorials may be made to the New Bethel Family Worship Center, 150 New Bethel Road, Tuscumbia, AL 35674.
