David W. Haley, age 56, of Daytona Beach, passed away at his residence on Sunday, March 8, 2009. Mr. Haley was born in Muskogee, OK to James and Wilma Haley, he was a proud veteran of the US Army, and dedicated his talents as a Hydraulic Specialist in the Oil industry. At the age of 25 he was in a tragic accident which left him paralyzed, though his courageous battles, he survived far beyond what the doctors expectations. David was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America and before his accident enjoyed jogging, cooking, fishing, shooting pool, traveling, having a good meal and his best friend "Boots" his pup. He will best be remembered for the way he made you feel good, regardless of what he was saying. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Wilma Snodgrass; two sisters; Sandee Hicks and Susan Byrd; a brother, William (Yasmine) Haley; seven nieces and nephews, Jeff, Lisa and Evan Byrd, Aaron Garcia, Robert Murph, and Carolyn and Samantha Haley.
