RITCHIE _ David John December 20, 1946 - October 21, 2007 With his loving family by his side, Dave passed away at the age of 60 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Dave is survived by his best friend and loving wife Teresia; his loving daughters Lara (Cody), Tamara (Donald); stepchildren Kerry (Len), Shane; grandchildren Marley, Jelina, Colby; brother Mel (Leslie), as well as numerous other family members and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Mabel and Raymond. The family would like to thank the staff at the Grey Nuns Palliative Care Unit for their endless support, compassion and respect while caring for Dave throughout his illness. Dave loved and enjoyed every aspect of life and his contagious smile lasted until he closed his eyes for the final time. Dave requested that there not be a Funeral but rather a celebration of his life. Please join us for food and drink on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at the Muttart Conservatory 9626 - 96A Street, Edmonton, between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. (no outside flowers in the Conservatory). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Grey Nuns Palliative Care Unit at the Grey Nuns Hospital, 1100 Youville Drive West, Edmonton T6L 5X8. Live everyday to its fullest, and never forget to "toast the sunset".
