Avis de décès de David-Lee Poulin


ROCHESTER — David Lee Poulin, 59, of 39 Howe St., and lifelong resident of Rochester, died after a long battle with cancer at his home surrounded by family on Feb. 12, 2005.He was born in Rochester on Jan. 6, 1946, the son of Clement and Louise (Maxfield) Poulin. He graduated from Holy Rosary High School in 1963 and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was employed by Blouins Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 2001 due to his disability.He was an active member of the Victoire Club, Rochester American Legion Post 7 and the Rochester Lodge of Elks 1393.An avid fisherman and candlepin bowler, he loved to hunt, garden and play cards. Over the past few years, he was able to enjoy a cruise with his wife, take several trips to Foxwoods and won a Texas Hold’em tournament in Rochester, that he was able to attend with his son.Members of his family include his wife of 20 years, Janet A. (Beckingham) Poulin of Rochester; son, Thomas and his wife, Denise Poulin. and granddaughter, Lily, all of Rochester; daughter, Karen Hoffman of Sacramento, Calif.; stepdaughter, Tara Cosgrove of Dover; sisters, Pauline Poulin of Colchester, Conn., Denise (Poulin) Nadeau of Meriden, Conn.; brother, Paul Poulin and wife, Dixie, of Rochester; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his younger brother, Jamie Poulin.Family and friends may visit Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester, N.H.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Lowell Street, Rochester, with Fr. Pierre Baker, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Dover, in the spring.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting, if desired, donations in Dave’s memory be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH or the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Bldg., 360 State Route 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110-5032.
