LAWRENCE, David Michael. Mr. David Michael Lawrence, of Black Diamond, AB. Passed away peacefully with his family at his side following a brave struggle with cancer at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary, AB., on November 15, 2002 at the age of forty-seven years. David will be dearly missed by his parents Gordon and Teresa of Montreal. Five brothers and sisters, Stephen, Monica, Patricia (Jimmy), Dennis (Ninon) and Mary (Gavin) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, dear cousins and friends. David was born in Toronto, Ont. and was raised in Montreal, Que. He graduated from Acadia University in Nova Scotia with his Bachelor of Science degree. Following graduation, he moved to Alberta to pursue his career as a geologist. David's interests included genealogy, music and all things western. Dave will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A Prayer Service will be said at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, 200 Woodgate Rd. Okotoks, AB., on Sunday, November 17, 2002 at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Black Diamond, AB., on Monday, November 18, 2002 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Fr. John Bastigal celebrant. Interment to follow at Foothills Cemetery. A memorial Mass celebrating his life will be celebrated in Montreal on Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Mary Queen Of Peace Church in Roxboro.
