Avis de décès de David-James Paterson

PATERSON David James It is with great sadness that David's family announces his passing on December 2, 2007 in North Vancouver at the age of 90. David is survived by his daughter Susan (Ken) and his two grandchildren David and Matthew Eberhardt, sisters-in-Iaw Marjorie, Ruth and Audrey, and many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his baby daughter Caroline in 1943 and his wife and soul mate of 63 years, Mary Paterson in 2005. David will be sadly missed by his many friends in Winnipeg, Victoria, The Lower Mainland, and North Vancouver where he resided for the past 17 years. David was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a great love of people, sports, jazz music, and animals. He was proud to have served in the Canadian Navy during World War Two and was even prouder to have one of the oldest CB numbers on record. He lived with unswerving dignity, courage, and determination during his 24 year struggle with ALS. The family would like to express thanks to his caregivers Twyla and Donna for their loving care and devotion over the past few years. At the end, he looked forward to being united with his wife, Mary and daughter Caroline. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the SPCA or to Margaret Fulton House (North Van.) would be gratefully appreciated. "Dear Dad, May you dance again."
