David H. Harrison, 92, of Berkeley Heights, N.J., died on April 24, 2014. The family will be sitting Shiva today, Saturday, from 1:30 to 9 p.m. at the home of Barbara Schoenberg in Berkeley Heights, N.J., and Sunday through Tuesday, with services at 7:30 p.m., at the home of Judith Harrison in Metuchen, N.J. A memorial service will be announced at a later date by the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave., Somerville, N.J. David was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and raised in Newark, N.J.; he lived in South Orange, N.J., before moving to Berkeley Heights in 1997. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a business degree. David began his career with the I.R.S. before becoming a self-employed certified public accountant for over 50 years. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was shot down over Germany and held as a prisoner of war for a year. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed playing bridge in his spare time. David will be sadly missed by family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Schoenberg; daughters, Judith Harrison and her husband, Stephan Gross, and Debra Harrison and her husband, Mark Muller; stepchildren, Douglas Schoenberg, Eric Schoenberg, and Julie Jacobs; three grandchildren, and sister, Evelyn Warren.
