<!-- FH = 95 --><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Wells, David C.,95, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014 in his residence at Treyton Oak Towers.He was born in Glasgow, Ky and grew up in Louisville. He was a graduate of Male High School, a retired machinist for L&N Railroad, a WWII Army veteran, with 20 years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was also a Board Member of the L&N Credit Union and a member of the L&N Golf Club.David was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Gertrude Sepel Wells and brother Robert Wells.Survivors include his daughters, Judith Powell Robinson (Herschel) and Gwen Powell Briscoe (Dan); five grandchildren, John Robinson (Mary Mahoney), Joanne Robinson White (Geoff), Amy Robinson Zinn (Robert), Emily Briscoe and Keith Briscoe (Chelsea Buchanan); six great-grandchildren, Krista White Mandillo (Darryl), Noah and Ethan Zinn, Max Briscoe Stoeckel and Oliver and Malcolm Briscoe; several nieces and nephews and many good friends.Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd. with burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
