Dao Thi Nguyen Clinton Dao Thi Nguyen, 76, of New York City, formerly of New Orleans and Vietnam, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011, while staying at her son's home in Clinton, NY. Dao was born on August 14, 1934, in Quan Phuong, Vietnam, the daughter of Dang Hao Nguyen and Phuong Thi Hoang. She was raised and educated in Vietnam. She worked as a jeweler in Vietnam. On December 3, 1960, Dao married Vinh Le. Mr. Le passed away in 2003. Dao was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lord of Resurrection Church in New Orleans. She spent much of her time volunteering at the church. Dao is survived by two daughters, Chau Le, Washington, and Chi Le, New Mexico; five sons, Hung Le, Louisiana, Hai Le, New York City, NY, Dai Le, Virginia, Thang Le, Clinton, and Phong Le, California; one brother, Dam Nguyen, Vietnam; one sister, Chi Nguyen, Vietnam; as well as by fourteen grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Cuong Le, and by a brother, Cu Nguyen. Mrs. Nguyen's funeral will take place at The Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Resthaven Memorial Park, New Orleans.
