Daniel R. Poulin, 67, of Braintree, passed away peacefully, April 9, 2010 at Massachusetts General Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was the devoted and loving husband of Linda R. (Battistini) Poulin. They were married for 13 wonderful years. He was the son of the late Roger O. and Gabrielle (Champagne) Poulin of Dartmouth, MA. Mr. Poulin was born in New Bedford and was a graduate of Holy Family High School and Stonehill College, and also attended Boston College Graduate School. He worked as a Sales/Customer Representative and recently retired from Verizon Corporation in Boston. In lived in Rochester, MA for 7 years before moving to Braintree 15 years ago. He enjoyed personal computing, researching genealogy, traveling and was a very avid reader. Most of all he loved spending quality time with his beloved family and friends. Survivors include his wife; a son, Matthew S. Poulin of Denver, CO, a daughter Nicole A. Poulin of Longmont, CO; 2 brothers, David P. Poulin and his wife Judith and Jan Marc Poulin and his wife Karen, both of New Bedford; a godson, and nephew David J. Poulin of New Bedford and niece Erica J. (Poulin) Kruger and her husband Mark of South Dartmouth along with a great niece and a great nephews. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 14 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Washington St., Braintree. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, April 13 from 5-8 p.m. at the McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St., (Rte. 37), Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445-7226, attn: Contribution Services.
