Athens - Dr. Dale A. Patterson, 63, of Athens, died April 11, 2008. Son of the late Wayne and Alice Patterson, he was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Patricia Ann Patterson. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and brother, passionate professor, generous and kind man. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Barbara Jo Montgomery Patterson; daughters, Karen Sanfilippo (Rob) and Tandy Seitz (Tom); and son Terry Osborn (Helen). He was the proud grandfather of Mitchell, Dylan, Madeleine, and Amelie Ann. He will also be greatly missed by brothers Glenn (Sheila) and David (Debbie); sisters Thelma Houck, Judy Mauney (Luther), and Bonnie Hord (David); father-in-law Charles Montgomery, and many loving nieces and nephews, and long time friends.The family will receive friends at the Lord and Stephens, EAST, Funeral Home, Monday, April 14, 2008, from 11 - 1 p.m., followed by a memorial service.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: OFA Cancer Project c/o The University of South Alabama College of Medicine, Attention: Dr. Joe Coggin, Mobile, AL 36688.
