Clara T. (Marra) Regan died Jan. 9, with family at her side. Clara was born May 13, 1929, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She graduated from Bishop McDonnell Memorial High School, Brooklyn, in 1947. Clara worked as an executive secretary for the International Nickel Company on Wall Street for 12 years. She married Michael J. Regan in 1951. Clara and Michael moved to Hanson in 1963 and lived there happily for 43 years before moving to Andover to be closer to their three children. Most recently, Clara was a resident of Haverhill Crossings. Clara and Michael were active parishioners at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Hanson and volunteered much of their time at the Holy Cross Fathers Retreat House in North Easton. At St. Josephs, Clara was a member of the Sodality of Our Lady. She enjoyed preparing meals in the parish hall kitchen for church functions and served for many years on the Parish Council. Clara now reunites with her husband, Michael, and leaves behind three children, Denise (Regan) Galvin and her husband Bill of Haverhill, Christopher Regan and his wife Sue of Andover and Catherine Regan of Andover. She was also the loving grandmother of Katie and Michael Galvin, and Matthew, Tommy and Danny Regan. Visiting hours will be held Monday, Jan. 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 33 Pearson St., Andover, www.dewhirstfuneral.com. A Mass of remembrance will be held Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustines Catholic Church, 43 Essex St., Andover. Interment will be held at the West Parish Cemetery, Andover.
