Charles W. Boyer, 88, Nokomis, Lake Pleasant, Ind., and Napoleon, Ohio, died Dec. 21, 2005, at Venice Regional Medical Center. He was born July 30, 1917, in Napoleon and retired in 1980 after 25 years as a carrier for the Postal Service. He also worked several years at Walker Mortuary in Napoleon. He graduated in 1938 from Davis Business College of Toledo, Ohio, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a life member of Bert G. Taylor American Legion Post 300 in Napoleon and the Veteran Motor Car Club of America in Defiance, Ohio. He was a member of Our Savior Church of Nokomis, Clear Lake Lutheran Church of Fremont, Ind., and St. Paul Lutheran Church of Napoleon. Survivors include his wife, Laura (Grayson); a son, Charles W. III of Richardson, Texas; a daughter, Sandy Vocke of Napoleon; stepsons James V. Kohl of Epworth, Ga., John R. Kohl of Raleigh, N.C., and Daniel E. Kohl of Las Vegas; a stepdaughter, Nancy Schall of Defiance; a brother, Bruce of Defiance; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. Services and burial with military honors will be in Ohio, where Walker Mortuary Inc., Napoleon, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
