Charles Ray Johnson, 58, departed this life on Monday, June 22, at his residence. A native of Tipton, OK, he was born to the parentage of Josephine Henry Johnson and the late Ras Johnson. Thirteen years ago, Charles made Liberty County his home where he worked as a laborer. Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Davis Johnson of Gainesville, Fla.; eight sons, Ras, John and R.J. Johnson of California, James Johnson of Milwaukee, Wis., Patrick Davis, Antonio and Carlo Moore of Hinesville and Terrence Moore of Winter Haven, Fla.; four daughters, Alston Johnson of Milwaukee, Cayonna and Angela Moore of Hinesville and Nakesha Young of Winter Haven; his mother, Josephine Johnson of Newport News, VA; four brothers, R.J. Johnson of Lawton, OK, James Johnson of Minnesota, Gene Johnson of Houston, Texas, and John Johnson of Newport News; four sisters, Christine Anderson and Carol Edwards of Lawton, Loretta Martin and Wanda Lewis of Newport News; and 22 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Frank V. Givens Memorial Chapel of Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway. Interment will be in Frederick Cemetery in Frederick, Okla. Dorchester Funeral Home has charge of local arrangements.
