NASSAU Charles L. (Chuck) Hahn, 79, of Nassau, died suddenly Monday, April 26, 2004 at Albany Memorial Hospital after being stricken at his home. Charles was born in Clark Mills, N.Y., the son of the late Phillip J. and Mary Irene Page Hahn. He had lived in Rensselaer before moving to Nassau 45 years ago. He was an operating engineer and a 50-year member of Operating Engineers Local #106. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War. He was a life member of the Chandler-Young V.F.W. Post No. 8162 in Nassau, the Clark Mills American Legion Post No. 26, a member and past president of the Nassau Sportmen's Club and a member of the Kinderhook Elks Lodge No. 2530. Chuck is survived by his wife, Cornelia (Stever) Hahn; a son, Philip F. Hahn of Nassau; a daughter, Mary Jean Babbitt of Millerton, N.Y.; a sister, Nancy Brown of Clark Mills, N.Y.; a brother, Edmond Hahn of Fountain, Colo; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Phillip Hahn and sister, Charlotte Dowsland. Funeral from the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St., Nassau, Saturday morning at 11:00. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Contributions to the Nassau Rescue Squad, P.O.
