ALLEN, C. Douglas December 20, 1913 - February 25, 2010 Peacefully in Victoria, B.C. in his 97th year, Charles Douglas Allen, son of the late Ella and Lindsay Allen of Halifax. Predeceased by his wife Margaret Irene (Adams) in 2000; son John David in 1968; sister Dorothy Dunsworth in 2000 and brother Walter in 2007. Dear father of Elizabeth (Jerry Sebesta). Dearly loved Grandpa of David Sebesta (Jen); Jon Sebesta (Andrea O'Neil), and James Sebesta. Also survived by nephew Allen Dunsworth and nieces Margo Scott and Carol McGuinness. Douglas was born and raised in Halifax where he lived until 1939 when he moved to Ottawa to work for the federal government. He and Margaret met in Ottawa and were married in 1941. They moved to Victoria in 1996. There will be a memorial service in Victoria on March 5. In the summer there will be a memorial service in Ottawa followed by interment at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa.
