DAVEY, Charles It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Charles Davey on March 17, 2012, after a long illness with Parkinson's disease. Charles leaves behind his beloved wife of 32 years, Jean; and a large extended family. Charles was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, October 17, 1934. He served in Calgary, Alberta as Chief Accountant for Gulf Oil for many years before coming to BC where he held high positions with Canada Manpower. He was well known in the Victoria area for his excellent leadership as a Certified Counsellor for the University of Victoria, heading government job training programs, head of Outreach, and as Special Needs Counsellor for Victoria. Charles loved to travel and see the world and along with wife, Jean, travelled the world extensively. Charles was a great husband, father and friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Thank you to all the doctors who took care of Charles over the years throughout his illness. They listened, cared and were truly in the patient's best interest. Special thanks to Dr. Zelig Hurwitz and Dr. R. Nuttall. Also many thanks to all the staff at Mount St. Mary who gave Charles excellent care. There will be no service by request. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Please no flowers. If desired, a donation in Charles' memory would be gratefully accepted to Mt. St. Mary Foundation, 861 Fairfield Road. 651600
