ALBANY Catherine M. Renaud, 84, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at the Albany County Nursing Home. She was born on March 28, 1920 in Pittsfield, Mass. to the late Hector L. and Josephine Grady Renaud. Catherine was educated in Pittsfield and worked as a molder for General Electric in Pittsfield. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Dalton Heating Co. in Dalton, Mass. until she retired in the early 1980s. She served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946, attaining the rank of Telegrapher Third Class. She was a member of the American Legion Post in Sandwich. She had resided in Sandwich, Mass. for 20 years, where she held the position of recording secretary for the Upper Cape Cod AARP. She moved to Albany in 2002. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and cards. Catherine is the loving sister to Gertrude T. Ewing and the devoted aunt to John J. and Michael F. Ewing, Judith Moon and Mary Neely. She is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2004 at St. Charles Church in Pittsfield, Mass. Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield.
